Wicked Good Farm is happy to announce our
Mohair Fiber CSA for the Spinner!
We are currently offering CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares for sale. By purchasing a CSA share, your funds go directly to the care and feeding of the animals and the processing of their fiber. Your membership helps us pay for shearing, grain and hay, fiber processing, veterinary costs, and general upkeep of the goats.
Our farm has eight angora goats that are sheared twice per year- once in the spring and once in the fall. The mohair (fiber of the angora goat) is sent to a fiber mill for washing, carding, and processing into rovings. At this point, the fiber is ready to be spun into yarn.
With your purchase of a fiber share you will receive a selection of white/beige and silver/dark gray rovings totaling two pounds! That should keep you busy spinning for a while! Each share is $75 and can be picked up locally at the farm, or we can ship it anywhere within the US for $10. Half shares are are also available.
